Burberry has been stocked on Net-a-Porter since 2005, but it is the first time when the brand has created an additional collection inspired by its September 2017 Collection and is an eclectic mix of British iconic staples.
The Burberry vintage check takes center stage featured on the bomber as well as in coat linings. Tartan appears on skirts matched with homespun and hand-knitted patchworks of cable knits.
Green faux fur and military-style coats enhance the clash of textures and colors giving a modern urban aesthetic.
Key colors: Winter sorbet shades – pink, green, and blue – with black, camel, red and navy.
Key fabrics: Tartan and vintage check wool, Aran, Fair isle and Argyle knits, plastic, faux fur, embroidered tulle and lace, seam-sealed gabardine.
The collection of 14 pieces consists of delicate lace dresses and gowns, plastic waterproof outerwear, form-fitting jodhpur trousers and long tartan check skirts.
The collection was unveiled across two floors of the magnificent old courthouse, which opened its doors for the first time since its restoration. Guests were seated on an eclectic selection of furniture from garden setting to bus shelter benches throughout the space, with walls left bare to show the history of the almost 250-year old building.
