Seventies-style retro story-line of Véronique Leroy SS 2018

For Spring 2018, Véronique Leroy presented a beautiful collection of summery separates, with strong-shouldered silhouettes and big, bold belts.

Draped tangerine tops were paired with sea-green tasseled skirts; there were translucent blouses with beautiful pleats, and what appeared to be brown suede separates with boho fringes.

This lineup, showed a lot of leg: from the first bright green bodysuit to the shirt-dresses and wrap skirts that were worn more open than closed.

Véronique Leroy played with the borderlines of taste also in this collection, and showed the things that are a bit off. She used strange mixes of colors and fabrics and pushed the story-line onto the details like weird retro Seventies-style square buttons which were echoed on the shoe buckles.

Leroy played on the logo, with her name spelled out in bold scrawls across looks, also forming prints, or in initials in old-school fonts embroidered on tops.
