Capri: here the secrets of CHANEL new ephemeral boutique
CHANEL opens the doors of its ephemeral boutique located at the beginning of via Camerelle, in the heart of the enchanting island of Capri.
The atmosphere of the boutique is reminiscent of an Italian Palazzo featuring antique patina inside and terracotta walls outside, cleverly contrasted with strict geometric lines, creating an idyllic setting.
Upon entering the boutique grounds, visitors are immersed into an appealing cream stone and black granite lush terrace sheltered by a wooden arbour recalling the House’s iconic quilting, adorned with ivy and lemon trees looking out onto a picturesque square. Featuring the finest stone, cappuccino-coloured onyx sofas, and hues of green that echo the outside of the boutique, the exterior finds itself within. The interior of the boutique subtly bares the codes of the House; the cream and black stone flooring mirrors the House’s colour palette while the hand painted wall murals delicately illustrate the House’s emblematic symbols such as the camellia, the lion, wheat and comets.
Displayed in the center of the boutique, the new CHANEL’s GABRIELLE bag created by Karl Lagerfeld captures the attention of guests as soon as they walk in. Offering a large selection of shapes, materials and colours, this bag’s unique style designed in the image of the founder of the House, is the perfect embodiment of CHANEL’s elegance and know-how.
This décor is also the perfect backdrop to showcase a selection of pieces from the PARIS COSMOPOLITE 2016/17 Métiers d’art collection: Ready-to-wear, bags, shoes and accessories.
The new ephemeral boutique in Capri will be open from May 25th until September 30th.
