JANASHIA for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi

Georgian designer – Gvantsa Janashia’s  FW 2017/18 collection is not inspired with one particular theme. The collection is quite eclectic. The designer was overwhelmed with aesthetic of futurism: sharp shapes and colors of metal, 80’s sci-fi vintage futuristic concept car – Citroën Karin designed by Trevor Fiore in the collection.

The collection also features the retro Sci-Fi inspired costumes & accessories that were used in various motion pictures. There is also a huge influence from men’s classy leather trench coats of the 80’s, where designer adds her character and deconstructs the details.

JANASHIA FW 2017/18 collection also offers key elements of Georgian national Akhalukhi from the 19th century with modern interpretation. The designer used following fabrics: Patent leather, Organza, Quilted shell, Lycra, Polyester, Stretch Georgette,Velvet silk, Silk taffeta, Georgette and Luxer stretch .

Despite radically different inspirations, designer maintains her signature, it can be seen in beautifully combined asymmetric details and airy dresses. The designer used following colors: Burgundy, Burlywood,Black,White,Folly,Chestnut,Boysenberry and Deep champagne.

Collection will be presented at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi in May.
