Gigi Hadid by Steven Meisel for Max Mara Accessories SS17 campaign

It is a true love story between the beautiful Gigi Hadid and the Italian brand Max Mara. The star is the new face of the advertising campaign of the accessories collection SS17 Max Mara, photographed by the talented Steven Meisel.

Smiling, friendly and helpful to everyone, Gigi said: “Max Mara creates timeless clothing. It is a brand both contemporary and classic and I think this aspect is also very present in advertising campaigns. ”

The Max Mara campaign highlights the it-bag of next season: the BoBag, the new emblematic bag of the brand, already seen in the opening of the SS17 parade. Precise, rational with a handle and a removable shoulder strap, this bag is inspired by the work of Lina BO BARDI. The Italian architect and designer has distinguished himself by his artistic rationalism, pioneer of modern architecture, his artistic vision, both poetic and rigorous, has profoundly influenced the aesthetics of Max Mara’s SS17 collection.

The BoBag is available in two sizes and two versions: smooth calf leather or deer in a “Bardi-esque” tone palette varying from deer bag to leather, nude, water green, Black and taupe. For the calf bag, the available colors are camel, albino, black and red.

With its timeless design and character, the BoBag is going to make followers. To be found in store late February 2017.

Other highlights from the Accessories collection SS17 Max Mara, the glasses already spotted on the catwalk of the parade. Always a tribute to the architect Lina Bo Bardi, the glasses are characterized by tropical touches and architectural cuts, like the flagship model of the season: the Sun Lina II, a blend of avant-garde elements, fashion , and feminine.

The main protagonist of the fashion show Spring / Summer 2017, the Lina II model has a color palette of the model retains the natural hues of Havana with brown, ivory-brown and beige lenses.

The other star in the collection is the Prism Glasses, the emblem of the Max Mara Glasses collection – it is interpreted as a jewel that adorns the face. Proposing a perfect combination of rounded and square shapes, it reflects the many different but complementary facets that characterize the Max Mara woman: finding a balance between femininity and practicality, aesthetics and functionality, instinct and rationality .
